Reading Room at Whaam! is a library of books selected by artists, musicians, scientists, educators, public figures and more in response to the question: In isolation, what parts of yourself have you recovered?
New Reader designed and installed the room interior at Whaam!—a cultural hub in downtown New York, with furniture by Donald Judd and Dozie Kanu. The contents submitted by the contributors are archived and available online; to ensure the contents are viewable around the world during the pandemic.
The following spatial visualizations were produced as a critical form of communication throughout the development of this physical exhibition.
