META X MURAKAMI / AT THE BROAD
AR (2022)
For his first solo exhibition at the Broad Museum in LA, Takashi Murakami: Stepping on the Tail of a Rainbow, BUCK was invited to collaborate with Meta to craft six site-specific AR effects.
These AR installations, derived from Mr. Murakami’s catalog of expressive characters, fused his vision with the architecture and ethos of The Broad, simultaneously serving as an immersive guide for visitors as they journey through the museum.
The effects were discoverable through custom activation vinyls onsite and leveraged Meta Spark’s multiplane tracking capabilities.
For this project, I was able to lend support across numerous departments, including creative direction, art direction, design and development.
